Investing in our People
Town Pump is proud to have a team that shares our vision and works day in, and
day out, to achieve our goal of being “Montana’s Best”.
The success enjoyed at Town Pump comes from hard work and everyone paying attention to details and making continuing improvements.
Town Pump offers many opportunities for careers. Employees who started out in entry-level positions have filled the large majority of management and supervisory positions within the company. Town Pump operates in 52 cities across Montana, in a variety of businesses, including convenience stores, hotels, casinos and car washes.  It has more than 2,500 employees statewide and about 435 in the Butte area, with over 100 employees who have been with the company for more than 10 years, and many who have been with the company for over 25 years.
Town Pump provides a competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401 (k) retirement plan, paid vacation and employee assistance program in addition to many others.
Town Pump promotes alcohol education and safety in our stores.  Town Pump is proud to be a part of the solution in curbing underage drinking and preventing illegal alcohol purchases. Studies show community-based involvement from parents, educators, retailers and law enforcement authorities greatly reduce underage drinking.
Town Pump supports the community based organizations that effectively deliver the message of positive choices and personal responsibility by investing in local law enforcement D.A.R.E. programs, Alcohol-Free Graduation Parties, After-Prom Parties, and Montana Safe Kids/Safe Communities.
Additionally, Town Pump is committed to being a responsible retailer of alcohol products by utilizing state and nationally recognized alcohol-training programs to educate employees on responsible and legal sales of alcohol and tobacco products.
We have taken the initiative to provide our own cash incentive program to reward employees for successfully passing law enforcement compliance checks.
Town Pump acknowledges the cooperative effort required to make a difference in our communities. Thanks for caring and for being involved in helping our kids make healthy choices.
The “We Card” program
Town Pump takes active measures to prevent the illegal sale of cigarettes to minors. We are the first line of defense in keeping kids and tobacco apart.
The “We Card” training program provides signs, stickers, pins, calendars, brochures and other displays-designed to both remind our clerks of their responsibilities when selling tobacco and to prevent teens from even trying to buy cigarettes illegally in the first place.
With our informed clerks, who have been educated and trained, youthful customers are required to provide photo identification and underage purchase attempts will be rejected.
