Hotel Manager
Responsible for all aspects of hotel operations. Duties include: control of all revenues received; maintaining a comprehensive filing and record keeping system; controlling operating expenses and meeting property budget; performing property and room inspections; reporting and distribution of payroll; processing of purchase orders and invoices; evaluating and monitoring all expenses; supervising and monitoring maintenance; preparing end of the month reports; maintaining records and documentation for all staff; scheduling front desk clerks; filling in for shifts as needed; evaluating the market for determining room rates, wages, and benefits; training the assistant manager in all facets of hotel operations; hiring, orientation and training of employees; enforcing policies and procedures; making sales calls, working on marketing projects, and involvement in public relations.
Hotel Assistant Manager
Responsible for assisting the manager in all aspects of hotel operations. Duties include: inspecting guestrooms on a regular basis; acting as guest relations officer and sales representative; hiring, training, coaching and disciplining staff members; evaluating staff productivity and progress; assisting with coordination of special events or functions; performing sales calls; displacing one to three shifts per week; and assisting all areas when workload is heavy.
Hotel Sales Manager
Responsible for promoting sales for the hotel. Duties include: assisting and training Hotel Managers in sales work; performing cold calls to potential customers; phoning and/or mailing competitive information to prospective guests; placing ads to promote the motel; processing calls from advertisers; operating a booth during trade shows and conventions; developing and controlling the Hotel Division Sales & Marketing program; analyzing sales statistics to formulate sales policy; and research and development of long range planning documents to support future sales and marketing decisions.
Hotel Front Desk Supervisor
Responsible for overall operation of the Front Desk. Duties include: exceptional customer service; inspecting guest rooms; acting as guest relations officer and sales representative; completion of paperwork, reports and audits; new employee hiring, training and orientation; answering hotel switchboard; accurate accounting of all guest rooms; handling guest problems and complaints; posting room and tax revenues and phone or other charges; displacing one to three shifts as needed.
Hotel Head Housekeeper
Responsible for supervising the housekeeping staff. Duties include: hiring, training, evaluating and scheduling all members of the housekeeping department; inspecting all rooms daily ensuring quality controls are met; assigning laundry attendants’ duties; generating supply requisitions; maintaining a lost and found department; and maintaining the linen and supply inventory.
Hotel Maintenance Chief
Responsible for maintenance of the entire building. Duties include: maintenance of refrigeration, heating, plumbing, electrical, pools, saunas, etc.; ensuring completion of maintenance projects such as painting; evaluating requisitions for work orders; and assisting in the hiring, training and orientation of new maintenance staff.
Hotel Bookkeeper
Responsible for all hotel bookkeeping. Duties include: security of all assets to include control of cash fund and auditing of shift reports; ordering office supplies; computer entry and recording of sales; and preparation of bank deposits
Hotel Night Auditor
Responsible for general auditing for the hotel. Duties include: generating audit reports; balancing city ledger tray; acting as night manager of hotel; and carrying out all Front Desk duties.
Hotel Front Desk Clerk
Responsible for providing outstanding customer service. Duties include: reception/ information for the hotel including funds received; performing a variety of clerical and accounting duties; reserving future bookings; in-house guest accounting and cashier duties; and acting as switchboard operator.
Hotel Security
Responsible for the safety and security of the property including guests and employees. Duties include: make rounds of the property in accordance with preset schedule; assist with customer complaints; handling guest relations and services in the absence of management personnel; assisting with minor pool maintenance; and accomplishing some custodial duties.
Hotel Assistant Housekeeper
Responsible for assisting the Head Housekeeper in all aspects of the housekeeping department. Duties include: scheduling work for housekeepers and laundry attendants; hiring, training, and evaluating new staff; checking all areas of motel for cleanliness; coordinating with maintenance personnel on needed repairs; filling in as laundry attendant, room attendant, or lobby person; inspecting all rooms daily; assigning laundry attendants’ duties; generating supply requisitions; and maintaining linen and supply inventory.
Hotel Room Attendant
Responsible for the cleanliness of the hotel. Duties include: general cleaning in public areas; cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and bathrooms; reporting any deficiencies of the heating and cooling systems and televisions, and replacing light bulbs as needed; and performing deep cleaning projects as needed.
Hotel Laundry
Responsible for all aspects of the laundry. Duties include: washing, drying and folding linens; stocking linen storerooms; stain removal as required; and maintaining laundry equipment and facilities in a clean and safe manner.
Hotel Maintenance
Responsible for building maintenance. Duties include: refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems; ensuring all projects are complete; maintaining ice machines, swimming pools, saunas, hot tubs, fitness rooms, walls, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, rooftop and exhaust type units, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and landscaping; evaluating requisitions for work or work orders, and reporting the completion of duties to identified persons; and performing monthly, quarterly and annual preventative maintenance.
