Town Pump's support of Special Olympics Montana athletes has touched the lives of thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities. One such athlete is Josh Anderson. Josh lives in Troy with his mother, father and brother. Seven years ago Josh and his family had given up on Josh ever graduating from High School. They felt uncertain about his future. They had taken a family skiing trip to Big Mountain where they saw the Special Olympics State Winter Games and signed Josh up. Then something extraordinary happened. Instead of worrying about what Josh couldn't do, he and his family started to see things in terms of what Josh could do. Josh joined the Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Program and became a public speak. He has traveled to the USA National Games in Iowa and to the Athlete Global Congress in Panama. Josh currently serves on the Special Olympics Montana Board of Directors.
On June 23, 2007, Josh received his High School diploma. Over 75 people attended the graduation ceremony, a ceremony to honor only one student - 27 year old Josh Anderson.
Special Olympics Montana has changed Josh's life. The generosity of Town Pump has made that possible!
