New Construction in White Sulphur Springs

media • Feb 25, 2019

In early January, Town Pump team members stocked the new Town Pump Convenience Store and Lucky Lil’s Casino in White Sulphur Springs. The new 10,000 square foot store replaces the existing Town Pump building that was built in 1992. In the next month, the old building will be razed and additional fuel islands will be installed this spring. When completed Town Pump will have seven diesel and ten gas fueling stations.
According to store manager Mindy Jack the new building is more than double the space of the existing building and will allow this location to provide more products and services to the community. With 38 cooler doors and three freezer doors the store will feature a wider selection of dairy products, luncheon meats, waters, soft drinks, beer and wine. The self-serve food areas has been expanded and will feature two refrigerated cases for sandwiches and salads. New to the White Sulphur Town Pump is an extensive wine department.

“Needless to say, we are excited to be moving into the new building,” said Town Pump manager Mindy Jack, “our team members are looking forward to welcoming the community into the new store,” she continued.
“We will be adding three positions to our team when we open the new building,” said Jack. “As our volume increases we will add more positions in the future.”
The new 3,000 square foot Lucky Lil’s Casino is nearly three times the size of the previous casino location.
“While we will have additional space, some things won’t change,” said Lucky Lil’s manager Angie Evans. “Our players will always find our friendly service, exclusive games and our Players Rewards Club. We will be adding two more machines and expanding our hours of operation; we will now be open from 8:00 AM – 2:00 AM daily.”
The newly-constructed building was built to be energy efficient and includes LED lighting - both inside and outside the store.
“With skylights and the LED lighting we are able to take advantage of daylight harvesting to offset the amount of electric lighting needed for the building,” stated Town Pump Construction Manager Dan Sampson.
